Synopsis
The sheriff of a little town in southwest Texas must keep guardianship of a killer whose brother, a capable farmer, is attempting to offer assistance him elude. After a friend is slaughtered attempting to gather bolster for him, he and his appointees – a disrespected inebriated and a petulant ancient cripple – must discover a way to hold out against the rancher’s hired weapons until the marshal arrives. Meanwhile , things are complicated by the nearness of a youthful gunslinger – and a secretive magnificence who fair came in on the final stagecoach.
