Synopsis
Jeff Webster saw the beginning of the Klondike gold rush in 1896 as a perfect opportunity to earn a fortune in meat… And woe to everyone who gets in his way! He leads a cow herd from Wyoming to Seattle, then by ferry to Skagway, then across the mountains to Dawson (after a delay induced by larcenous town leader Gannon). There, he and his colleague Ben Tatum start their own gold company. Two attractive ladies fall in love with misanthropic Jeff, but he believes in every man for himself, turning his back on escalating lawlessness…until it eventually hits home.
